“I plead this day for those who cannot plead for themselves, namely, the great outlying masses of the heathen world..." ~ A word from Charles Spurgeon.
"And thank you, God, that I was not born a Korowai..."
So goes our 8-year old son Noah's oft-repeated bedtime prayer. We've never rebuked Noah for this prayer. His little heart is sincere. He knows he is privileged when he sees the suffering of the Korowai around us. Yaim Warita is one such Korowai, and her influence in our lives will never be forgotten.
Ainus Kogoya was near the village when a wild jungle pig attacked him. Praise God for Mission Aviation Fellowship, without which he very well could have died.

Here are some pics of football--Danowage style.
Our little Alethea is now homeschooling. It looks a little different in the jungle, as you can see.
Trevor Johnson and his wife Teresa are missionaries in Papua, Indonesia, bringing the Gospel to the people there. I thought it would be helpful to many to interview Trevor so others might be edified and encouraged. Thanks be to God, brother Trevor was kind enough to take time out from his sabbatical to answer my questions, and I am sharing them here. May God use this interview to His glory.
Updates from several missionaries of their experiences traveling into this remote region.
Family portraits--always an adventure.
A full day in the life of a 5-year-old birthday girl.
The kids are so excited to have English-speaking guests...
